Parent and Family Workshops
Jigsaw-GC are committed to supporting parents and carers through Family Forums and Parent Support Workshops that provide valuable guidance and skills development. These forums and workshops are designed to help parents and carers better understand their children's needs, navigate challenges in education, and build stronger relationships with both their children and the professionals involved in their lives.
Support includes:
-
One-to-one coaching for parents, offering tailored guidance on how to support their child's education, emotional well-being, and social development.

-
Mediation services to help parents resolve conflicts with schools, professionals, or within the family, fostering healthier communication and mutual understanding.

-
Workshops focused on improving parent-child relationships, managing behavioural issues, and understanding the complexities of peer and professional relationships in the school environment.

In addition to these direct support services, Jigsaw provides volunteering opportunities that allow parents and carers to engage with their community, build their confidence, and gain new skills. We believe that empowering parents through participation in meaningful activities strengthens families and helps to create more resilient communities.
Jigsaw-GC is already partnering with the Islington & Camden Parent Champions Network and actively collaborating with other voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations and community interest companies (CICs) to broaden the reach and impact of our services.
Through these partnerships, they are able to deliver comprehensive support that benefits both parents and young people, ensuring that families have the tools and resources they need to thrive.
